Maria Coutinho, was with her husband, Jose, the co-founder and President of Coutinho Properties. Coming from a long line of Flemish-Venetian merchants and property owners in the Castello district, she was the brains behind the actual day to day running of Coutinho Properties. As the saying went in the company (paraphrasing the American playwright Arthur Miller): 'if you want to know, ask Maria'.
Maria Coutinho passed away quietly at her East End home on the 6th of December 2020.
